Privacy Policy

Youme App | Committed to Your Digital Privacy | Governing Law: California, USA

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how we collect, store, use, and protect your information when you use the Youme mobile application ("App", "we", "us", "our"). This Policy is incorporated into our End User License Agreement and applies to all users of the App.

Youme is designed with strict privacy-first principles and a pure local storage architecture. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers.

By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, discontinue use of the App immediately.

2. Local Data Storage Architecture

The core design of Youme features a no-backend, device-only storage system. All data generated by your usage of the App is stored exclusively on your local mobile device, including:

  • Emotional records and mood logs
  • Virtual plant growth data and garden customization settings
  • App preferences and display configurations
  • Interaction data with other users (sunlight/dew gifts)

No data is uploaded to cloud servers, third-party platforms, or our internal databases. All data remains under your direct control on your personal device.

3. Data Collection & Usage

3.1 Personal Data Collection

We collect NO personal identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, location, or account credentials. The App does not require user registration or login to function.

3.2 Non-Personal Data

The App does not collect analytics data, crash reports, device identifiers, or usage statistics. No automated data collection tools (cookies, trackers, SDKs) are integrated into the App.

3.3 Data Usage

All data stored on your device is used solely for the operation of the App's core features and is not accessible to any external parties or us.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

Since we do not collect or store any user data on external servers, we do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any user data to third parties, including advertisers, data brokers, business partners, or government agencies.

Data sharing will only occur if required by mandatory California state or federal law, provided that we receive a valid legal order and comply with applicable legal procedures.

5. CCPA/CPRA User Rights (California Residents)

In compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), we affirm the following rights for California residents:

  • Right to Know: You have full visibility of all data stored locally on your device within the App
  • Right to Delete: You may permanently delete all App data by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's local storage via your device settings
  • Right to Data Portability: All data is stored locally, giving you complete control over data export and management
  • Right to Opt-Out: No data is collected, so opt-out from data collection is inherent to the App's design

We do not sell any personal information, as defined by CCPA/CPRA.

6. Data Security

As all data is stored locally, the security of your data depends on the security measures of your mobile device (e.g., passcodes, biometric authentication, system encryption).

We recommend you enable device security features to protect your local App data. We are not responsible for data loss or unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your device.

The App itself does not transmit data over networks, eliminating risks associated with cloud data breaches.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has stored data on the App, you can remove it by uninstalling the App from the device.

If you become aware of any data related to a child under 13, contact us immediately at the provided email address.

8. Policy Updates

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our App features or legal requirements. Updated versions will be posted within the App with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of the App after the policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, excluding its conflict of law rules.

Any disputes related to this Policy shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
